Midway University's Dr. Neha Anand Receives 2025 Early Career Award from Kentucky Association of Teacher Educators

Midway, KY (10/01/2025) — Midway University is proud to announce that Dr. Neha Anand, Assistant Professor in the Teacher Education Department, has been selected as the recipient of the 2025 Early Career Award from the Kentucky Association of Teacher Educators (KATE).

This prestigious award recognizes Dr. Anand's outstanding contributions to the field of teacher education and her dedication to preparing the next generation of educators in Kentucky. The honor highlights her commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service to the education community.

Dr. Anand, who holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction (Science Education) from the University of Houston, an M.Ed. in Education Administration from Lamar University, and an MBA in Finance & Marketing from ICFAI University, has been an integral part of Midway's teacher education faculty. Her research interests include multicultural education, STEM education, and culturally responsive teaching practices that promote equity and inclusion.

"It is an honor to receive the Early Career Award from KATE," said Dr. Anand. "This recognition inspires me to continue supporting future educators as they prepare to make a difference in Kentucky classrooms."
