Midway University Welcomes New Vice President of Student Affairs & Dean of Students

Midway, KY (08/08/2023) — Midway University is pleased to welcome Dr. Heath Morgan as the New Vice President of Student Affairs & Dean of Students.

Dr. Morgan is a seasoned student affairs administrator with over 20 years of higher education experience. He is well-versed in Clery Compliance and Title IX regulations. Dr. Morgan believes that a vibrant campus community starts with student involvement. This includes participation in groups, organizations, and athletics as well as having opportunities for participation in co-curricular programming and experiential learning.

His extensive record of success at Missouri Valley College will serve Midway University well as we continue to grow," said Dr. John P. Marsden, President, Midway University. "Dr. Morgan also has a great understanding of the importance of engaging students and enhancing the student experience."

Dr. Morgan earned his Ed.D. in Instructional Leadership from Lindenwood University. In addition, he has a Master of Arts in Education Administration from Lindenwood University, and a Bachelor of Science in History from Lambuth University.

As part of Dr. Morgan's past experiences and responsibilities he oversaw student housing, residence life, Greek life, student activities, intramurals, public safety and campus security, student health services, student success and an academically at-risk living learning community. In his previous employment he had the opportunity to bring multiple residential facilities and a new student center online. He authored the institutions first Crisis Response Plan and was part of a team that secured grants for the support of student success.
