Midway University is excited to reveal the individuals recognized on its Dean's List for the Fall Semester of 2023. To earn a spot on the list, students must be enrolled full-time and achieve a semester grade point average of 3.60 or higher. Midway University held its Nursing Pinning Ceremony on May 10, 2024, in Duthie Auditorium, celebrating the dedication and achievements of its latest nursing graduates. The ceremony, a time-honored tradition in the nursing community, saw 30 candidates receive their official Midway University Nursing Pins, symbolizing their transition from students to professional nurses, and for some attaining an advanced degree. The evening began with a warm welcome and an opening prayer led by Auburnleigh Debruler, the class representative, who set the tone for the ceremony with a heartfelt invocation highlighting the noble calling of the nursing profession. The prayer emphasized the importance of compassion, service, and continual learning in nursing. Dr. Diane Chlebowy, Dean of the School of Health Sciences, introduced the keynote speaker, Ms. Katherine L. Leigh, a distinguished alumna of the nursing program and the Senior Director of Quality and Patient Experience at Georgetown Community Hospital. Ms. Leigh shared her inspiring journey and the vital role nurses play in healthcare. Dr. Chlebowy also extended congratulations to the graduates, underscoring the significance of the nursing pin. She explained its historical roots, tracing back to the Maltese Cross and its evolution as a symbol of service and commitment in nursing. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Midway University Nursing Pins and apricot roses, symbolizing the academic discipline of Nursing. Graduates were pinned by family members and mentors, each moment signifying personal triumph and professional readiness.

Midway Kentucky - Midway University conferred degrees on 356 students who completed their coursework over the last academic year at the commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 13, 2023. The ceremony took place in the Graves Amphitheater on the Midway campus, with 223 students participating. The 2023 graduating class included students from 28 states, Puerto Rico, and seven countries.

The annual Joy Edwards Hembree Honors Program at Midway University was held April 13 to recognize students, faculty members, and campus organizations for their achievements in the classroom and extra-curricular activities. "The annual Honors event is an important reminder of our purpose and a celebration of our Midway students' academic and service achievements," said Dr. Carrie Christensen, Vice President, Academic Affairs (Interim), Midway University.

It was an action-packed time as Midway University hosted its annual Homecoming and Family Weekend on September 16 and 17. On-campus events included a dance, trivia, bingo, lunch on the lawn with a DJ and games, home soccer games, and the university's inaugural sprint football game. Families also were able to enjoy the Midway Fall Festival in downtown Midway. During the Saturday home soccer games, the Homecoming Court nominees were recognized between games. The Royal Court was then announced, and the honorees were Morgan Harper and Jacob Pollak (sophomores), Dylan Abrams and Jalyn Jackson (juniors), and seniors Abbey Green (Homecoming Queen) and Jacob Kocis (Homecoming King).

Friday, April 29, Midway University students, faculty, and staff gathered to see students present their senior capstone projects.

Midway University honored four first-year students for outstanding academic achievement during its annual Academic Honors ceremony.
