Midway University

It was an action-packed time as Midway University hosted its annual Homecoming and Family Weekend on September 16 and 17. On-campus events included a dance, trivia, bingo, lunch on the lawn with a DJ and games, home soccer games, and the university's inaugural sprint football game. Families also were able to enjoy the Midway Fall Festival in downtown Midway. During the Saturday home soccer games, the Homecoming Court nominees were recognized between games. The Royal Court was then announced, and the honorees were Morgan Harper and Jacob Pollak (sophomores), Dylan Abrams and Jalyn Jackson (juniors), and seniors Abbey Green (Homecoming Queen) and Jacob Kocis (Homecoming King).

Midway University is pleased to announce the students who have been named to its Dean's List for the 2022 Spring Semester. To be named to the list, a student must be classified as full-time and obtain a 3.60 grade point average for the semester. There were 326 students who made the Dean's List.

Midway University nursing faculty gathered at the Duthie Auditorium Friday, May 13 to present official Midway University Nursing Pins to 21 candidates who successfully completed their coursework and earned their Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN). Seven students completed their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), and three students earned their Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree.

At the May 14 Commencement Ceremony, Midway University conferred degrees on 83 graduate students and 246 undergraduate students who completed their coursework over the last academic year. This graduating class included individuals from 31 states and 7 countries. During the ceremony, two awards were presented by the University - the President's Award and the Midway Woman Award.

Friday, April 29, Midway University students, faculty, and staff gathered to see students present their senior capstone projects.

The annual Joy Edwards Hembree Honors Program at Midway University was held April 14 to recognize students, faculty members, and campus organizations for their achievements in the classroom and extra-curricular activities.
