Midway University Launching Online Computer Science Degree for Fall 2026

With the growing demand for more flexibility to pursue an education, and the ever-increasing presence of AI in our day-to-day lives, Midway University will be offering its Computer Science degree online starting this fall.

Students of computer science will gain skills in applying technology to solve a wide variety of problems. Whether programming, designing user interfaces, managing networks, building databases, or protecting everything through cybersecurity, they also will develop the skills to responsibly leverage and create with AI, equipping them for the jobs of tomorrow.

"This program already is available through our traditional, in-seat offerings and with the ever-growing interest in this field, we want to position our students to get the education necessary for job opportunities in the profession," said Dr. John Marsden, President of Midway University.

"We recognize the field of computer technology is rapidly changing and constantly evolving," said Dr. Tim Campbell, Vice President of Academic Affairs. "The skills our students gain in this program will help them navigate the ever-advancing world of business."

Midway University is a private, liberal arts-based institution with career-focused majors located just 15 minutes away from Lexington, Kentucky, offering traditional semester undergraduate programs as well as accelerated format evening and online undergraduate and graduate programs.
