Midway University Adds New MBA Concentration
Management of Information Systems concentration begins this fall
Midway, KY (06/15/2022) — The Midway University Board of Trustees has approved a new concentration for the University's Master of Business Administration program. This fall, students will be able to add the Management of Information Systems concentration.
"This concentration gives us the ability to help meet the demand for more skilled technology workers," said Dr. Carrie Christensen, Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs. "Coursework covers topics of system development, data and information management, and security and is designed to prepare leaders in fields of technology and equip them with the ability to synthesize new innovations in an ever-changing field."
Midway University already offers five other areas of concentration, including Equine Management, Health Care Administration, Human Resource Management, Sport Management, and Tourism and Event Management. To earn the MBA concentration, all students complete a set of common MBA courses and then 15 credit hours within the selected concentration.
"We have found that by adding concentrations within our MBA program it allows all of our students to choose an area of interest that closely aligns with their career goals," added Christensen.
Midway University offers its MBA program and all its concentrations 100% online for students' convenience. There are also on-campus MBA courses offered for students who wish to have the face-to-face experience. Midway University's MBA program offers the most affordable tuition in the region and can be completed in just 12 to 15 months.
