Midway University Welcomes Chris Roty to Board of Trustees
Midway, KY (03/16/2026) — Midway University has elected Christopher M. Roty, MHA, FACHE, president of Baptist Health Lexington, to its Board of Trustees.
Roty leads the Lexington hospital, which is part of Baptist Health, a Louisville-based healthcare system with more than 23,000 employees serving communities across Kentucky and southern Indiana. He has spent more than three decades with Baptist Health, holding a variety of senior leadership roles throughout the system.
"Chris brings extensive leadership experience in healthcare administration and a deep commitment to community service," said Midway University Board Chair Donna Campbell '62. "His perspective from one of the region's leading healthcare systems will be invaluable as Midway continues to grow programs that serve the workforce needs of Kentucky and beyond."
Roty earned a master's degree in hospital and health administration from Xavier University and a bachelor's degree in psychology from Albion College in Michigan.
Roty was sworn in to begin his service to Midway University at the February board meeting.
